still into paramore!

So if you follow my tumblr you probably would have already seen my many rants about how much i LOVE Hayley Williams and Paramore. my obsession has EXPLODED following their new self titled album release and the Premiere of their video for 'still into you' personally i love the new album, i adore the mixture of boppy pop beats, hard rock and soft sad ballads. the most interesting is the interludes, played between each group of songs, contain an insanely cheery ukulele, much like Panic! at the disco's 'i have friends in holy spaces'. my favourite songs (beside the released singles) include: 'grow up' 'aint it fun' 'hate to see your heart break' '(one of those) crazy girls' and 'fast in my car'
i really enjoy the theme of getting over lost friendships which is evident in most of the songs. (that ones really hitting home right now :P)

Anyway besides going crazy over new music on my iPod, the reason for this post is the fashion-gasm i had over Hayley's outfit in the super cute and fun 'still into you' clip! i was going to track down all items for you but MTV beat me too it!

When i Saw the pastel leather jacket i knew instantly what i'd be spending my next pay check on. i've been holding back on wearing more daring clothes recently, since my hometown (where my mum and friends live) aren't really too expressive, and for so long i'd cared too much about what others think. i've always been inspired by Hayley and her sense of style. Her fierceness and peppiness is so infectious! she's definitely inspired me to be true to my self and style!

i've previously seen this UNIF jacket on Karmaloop when i first checked out the site. i loved it then but i had no money to spend on clothes *cries* so it sadly was forgotten about. i really enjoy pastels and i'm super excited to buy it soon :D

i've also seen the melting tights from URB on many an awesome lookbook post! i've lusted after them for a while but i'm afraid if i buy them i wont know how to style them and they'll become one of the many items i buy that i don't wear. but even if it is the case i am in love with these pairs!

Jeffery Campbell marry me!

so i stumbled onto solestruck (because depression is best cured with swiping my credit card!) and i found some more Jeffery Campbell shoes to add to my ever expanding wish list!

i keep seeing everyone with these Everly boots and i just adore them! i'm a sucker for buckles but i love how these are really sleek and simplistic! they're going to be the perfect winter boot and a good change from my usual chunky boot. i think my sister is going to buy them for my birthday (woo!)

next is the Argo sandal. pretty sure my lovely friend Georgia has these! i love sandals and i have the strangest obsession with white shoes so look out for these coming into my shoe collection! i'm crying at their beauty! can't wait for birthday money! lol

obviously i want to try out the minimalistic look a little more and i think these shoes will really help with that. wish i could have them right meow! ;)

online shopping haul!

Recently i did a whole bunch of online shopping and it's finally all arrived! i got a whole bunch of random things, some were in preparation for winter and others just coz. enjoy!

these babies are my new oil slick leggings from Blackmilk! i know i took the worst picture of them but they are the shiniest and most rad thing ever! they're gonna be so badass and biker chic this winter. i already styled them for easter with the family so i'll have to snap it and post it here so you can see their true beauty! they cost $109 and i got them during their free shipping period.

My sister and I did a shopping haul on Misguided. she originally purchased these jeans for herself but they didn't fit so i tried them on and they were perfect! Which was super weird because i wear a size 10! i don't actually wear jeans much after i discovered Blackmilk but i think the ombre effect is unique enough to work into my wardrobe.

i bought this shirt from misguided since i die for anything diamond print but i was greatly underwhelmed when i received it. i'm not a fan of the super soft t-shirt fabric because i don't feel like it holds a good shape, and also the straps are too thick and go over my shoulders which i don't find flattering since i have such a lack of shoulder! lol. i'm going to try styling it again but other wise i'll gift it to a friend.

this shirt is also from misguided but it is AMAZING!! the website was very hit and miss for me but i found a gem with this one. its a cropped tee but it fits tight at the top but loose at the bottom. i love crops and i just found this so flattering i didn't want to take it off! it was super comfy and it just gave me loads of confidence. the only issue i had, was i would of preferred a more exaggerated rolled up sleeve like it looked on the website so instead i made that to sell on my own site :P

lastly i bought this knock off wildfox sweater from ioffer. what i dislike from buying from china is that the photo's they post are generic and don't actually represent the item you will actually receive. it wasn't so bad since it only cost me $28.50. the good thing about ioffer though is that you can bargain with the online seller to save yourself more money. i'm not as in love with this as i thought i'd be but i haven't had a chance to properly style it yet so keep a look out for a lookbook post on it :)

so there you have it! i may post an online shopping tips blog for you guys if you like. i know when i started online shopping i had a few doozies when it came to wrong items or sizes so i'm happy to share my limited wisdom. feel free to check out the websites. i had positive experiences with all their deliveries :)

shopping haul!

hey guys i did a little pre-easter shopping on holy thursday. most we're impulse buys some we're on my refill list ;) enjoy!

If you haven't noticed from every one of my posts... I LOVE BUFFY!!! so i saw this shirt out the front of jay jays and RAN to buy it! like literally ran! (seriously it has spike's name on it, my money was out of my wallet before i got to the shop front!) i also picked up this rad meow crop top which i plan to do a total 90's/space themed outfit post on it ;) the text is glittery and i just love slime text!

this is my little haul from Priceline!

This stuff is like hair jesus! NOTHING gives my hair volume like this. i also use to wash my hair daily because i loathe having oily roots (it really shows up in my hair) but with this i wash my hair around every 3 days. It is magic.

next was a refill on my daily face routine. i swear by Garnier's combination skin BB every other brand i've tried (including Garnier's original formula) has left my skin wayyyy to oily and i end up breaking out. but teaming this with Almay pressed powder for oily skin i've seen an improvement in my skin. i also don't wear foundation anymore (but thats due to more self confidence and trying to stop my breakouts!)

this baby was recommended to me by a teacher of mine. it's an ergonomic liquid eyeliner from Australis. i'm trying to master it now because it does make you hold it a special way. but the tip is super thin, it glides on easy and lasts all day. so far i'm liking it since i can make my lines a lot thinner.

Lastly i got a refill of my Harajuku lovers Perfume. i got the mini one as you can see, since it was on sale for $15. G is my fave smell since i love coconut and vanilla type smells, this was also my 1st ever fragrance. i adore the cute little bottles too ^_^

fashion crush!

so i wanted to post about a brand i'm lusting over right now! They're called Everland clothing and they sell the raddest upon rad grunge clothing. i stumbled upon them on instagram through one of their many giveaways (seriously they do LOADS!) and i'm contemplating buying a few items. they're run from Brisbane (which sucks for me because i'd die to intern for them!) and right now they're pretty small but they're doing some amazing things! check out their instagram @everlandclothing i'm dying to win their 'win a wardrobe competition'

Shoe collection favourites!

Hey guys! i'm on a blogging roll this week! i already have 2 more shopping hauls up my sleeve (i've been naughty with my credit card :S)

today i have a special post! i've teamed up with some of my new fashion besties Georgia and Samira to make a blogging network of sorts. every week we pick a theme or type of blog post and we all submit a post on it! it's a great way to stay motivated with blogging and it also gives you guys a chance to check out some other awesome blogs! so click on their names and check these ladies out!

this weeks task is to make a post on a collection in your wardrobe! so i've chosen to show you my 6 fave pairs of shoes in my shoedrobe and tell you a little bit about why i love them so much! i've come to realise i have a unique style with the shoes i love and i know you'll want to know where and how i got them!

these are what i refer to as 'my babies'

these are my fake Coltranes. i bought them from Windsor Smith while holidaying in Melbourne and they cost me $189 literally the best money i've ever spent! i call them my weekend shoe because without a doubt i will wear them out on the weekend. i was so skeptical about buying the coltranes online because i was scared i'd have no clue how to style them! so i pinned over them for MONTHS! until i randomly walked past them in the Windsor Smith window. they are by far my favourite shoe and i find them so versatile. i chuck them on with any outfit and instantly feel awesome and well dressed! if you've been lusting after them i suggest you save up and buy them NO\W!

MY POLKA DOCS! (get it?) these babies were a total impulse buy! and my second pair of docs (first being all white and last being all black) i found them in a random shoe store in Devonport Tasmainia and had to have them once i tried them on. i felt guilty after my purchase because they cost me about $180 and once again i was scared they wouldn't match anything (oh how wrong i was!) i was also ubër scared because it was so painful breaking in my first pair! but these were comfy from the get go! i can't say i regret this purchase because they're just way too damn cute! and being limited edition i know i wont be matching anyone else anytime soon!

My Creepers! these are my second favourite pair of shoes! you can tell by the picture above that i've ruined them from constant wear! this was my staple shoe all last winter! i bought these T.U.K creepers from amazon and they cost me $85 incl. postage i could have probably gotten them cheaper but on all other websites i saw them for $120+ so i was happy. these were the best purchase i've ever made. they literally go with EVERYTHING! especially if you team them with frilly socks! i've worn them with dresses, pastel jeans, leggings you name it i've dressed it up with creepers! i thought i'd have to dress a certain way to pull these off but they compliment my 90's grunge style and my girly preppy style. i made my BFF buy a pair and she had to buy another pair because she wore them out so badly! they're totally the shoe for everyone!

MY JELLIES!!! so as mentioned i love me some 90's style! so when i found out they made jelly sandals i knew i had to cave! i got these from www.jeans.com.au i was a little peeved that when i finally got around to buying some they had raised the price by $5 which i found pretty underhanded because as a company they are super popular and always running out of stock, and personally i wouldn't ever raise my prices. putting that aside they cost me $35 and i am so in love with the fluoro pink. being this bright i do struggle a little trying to style them but i wanted a pop colour shoe for my collection and fluoro pink is my fave colour at the moment! they're super comfy but i got them really dusty when i wore them to the markets (oops!) i recommend reading their size chart because it is spot on! i usually wear a EURO 40 and they suggested i get a 41. when they arrived i freaked because they looked HUGE! but they fit like a dream! i'm hoping to buy my little sister a matching pair :)

MY GALAXY SHOES! ok so i may be bias adding these to the list because they come from my store :P and i did hand paint them myself but i do really love them! i love teaming them with a boring black and white outfit. they also receive LOADS of compliments because they're so bright and unique. i really pride myself on these shoes because i feel i found a design i really loved. these are great running around shoes because they're so comfy and easy to chuck on. i always have them by the door if i need to rush out. i'm also a big fan of blue and purple!

lastly i have my SPIKED LITA'S! so it's Blackmilk's fault i have these! i kept seeing them everywhere! and since i am a sucker for anything studded i knew i had to add them to my collection. i personally don't wear heels too often because i'm a big baby and i usually cry about my feet hurting around 11 but i prefer thick heels for stability when i do wear them. i seriously only ever wear these if i go out. they go with everything and can really transform an outfit from normal to awesome! i wouldn't recommend them if you never wear heels because they're pretty badass and need a little practise. but once you get the hang of them and you get drunk enough not to feel your feet these babies are a dream. just beware of the spikes! i'm always kicking myself or drunkenly kicking them because i didn't put them straight into the box :P i'd also suggest going for the Jeffery Campbell's over the knock offs only because they're a much sturdier make. they cost $190 but its worth it for the quality! (and the sexiness!)

i hope you enjoyed my shoe post! i had fun reminiscing over where i got each and every pair from. i'll leave you with a little smidgen of advice though! if you buy shoes online make sure you check reviews, consult size charts and properly research the shoes before you add to cart! it will hopefully save you trouble of having the wrong size or buying shoes you never wear (*cough* me spending $150 on a pair of black docs in my size that are actually too small :( ) and if anywhere possible try them on in store before hand!
