MELBOURNE HAUL!

a few weeks ago i went to melbourne for a shopping spree with my friends! check out all the rad things i bought while i was there!

so here's an update video about my new job at topshop!!! I'm so excited/nervous to start! i recently had the uniform day where i was able to purchase some items that i have to wear to work.

here are 3 outfits i styled using the clothes i bought!

OH GOD MY LEGS ARE WHITE!!! you can tell its only spring when my legs are that pale! anyway heres a few things i just threw together. getting reading to become a working girl ;)

heres my first ever pic in my beloved DISCO PANTS!!!!! so sad that summer is coming! i wont be able to wear them for long. they're by far my favourite pant! they're so comfy and fab and DAT ASS! i'm also OBSESSED with my fluoro lace crop. i want to collect all the colours! it's so easy to chuck on under any loose fitting tanks. i've been weary about the fluoro trend, i find it doesn't suit my skin tone but I'm glad to find something small that can just make an outfit pop. the purple/pink hair also helps, i'm finding it easier to wear pink because in blends in with my hair colour pallet :P

LAUNCH!!!

So Metalhead and Damsel is ready to buy! (for this moment it's only Australia but i'm working on it!) last weekend we had a photo shoot with the lovely help of my friend Jeremy(model) Rachel(hair and make-up and my sister Bec(photographer) it was super fun and super awkward (getting changed in the middle of the street!) i thought i'd share the pictures with you and link you to our Facebook page and store ^_^

remember when we were launch!

So today we did a mini photo shoot for my label 'Metalhead and Damsel' he's one of the looks i styled. i tried mixing grunge with cute and girly styles to make the clothes more relatable to everyones personal style. Absolutely LOVE the rib tanks. Keeping 2 of them for myself! As well as these cute galaxy shoes! Oh the spoils of making your own clothes!

just what i needed

hellooo worldddd this is meeeeee. sorry. saying hello world reminds me of the saddle club... ANYWAY this was yesterdays outfit. i thought i'd tryout fishnets for the first time and all i can say is WHY HAVEN'T I OWNED THESE BEFORE?!?! they're so great at adding texture to an outfit! i even wore them again today! i bought them from paddy's markets (as well as the stud cuff) its my new fav place for accessories (i also got my fake chanel bag from there ;))

i'm also rocking my new docs in this pic. i'm unable to wear them out just yet because the toes are too tight :( i need to try and stretch them and then break them in. i wish they were more consistent with their sizing :( oh well. my fault for not checking out the shoe reviews like i normally do! i've been told to stuff them with wet news paper. anyone tried this and have it work?

also on other news im thinking of quitting my job and starting up a market stall/working part time. im so unhappy where i work and i'd rather spend my days slaving away with crafty diy projects ;) i'll do an instagram post soon and show you all what items i want to sell at my stall ^_^ also stay tuned for a new thrift haul blog! :D

wildfox wishlist!

so i've just been stalking iHATEblonde! she has amazing photography and i'm completely in love/jealous with her style! also she has an unlimited number of wildfox jumpers!!! these are the 3 she has that i'd love to steal!

i want this one in the cream ;)

i so badly want to cave and buy one (preferably the floral one first!) but its the end of winter this week and it heats up in sydney really quickly! :( they're so beautiful! any one know if wildfox does any sales? i'd love to snag these on the cheap!

or if you own one of these babies, are they worth the money you pay?

GAH! i suppose they'll have to stay on my wish list for now!

i'm currently saving to go to Melbourne for a shopping spree!! i've never been but i'm hoping to hit up some boutiques and op-shops since i hear all the cool kids live in Melbourne ;) any sites i should aim to see?

so i actually worked out today D: i just did one of those workout posts that i keep seeing on my tumblr dash! the one i did was for dancer legs and included lunges, squats, jumping jack and stretches and i just added some ab crunches to focus on the areas i want to change. and OMG my butt/legs hurt!!!! i had issues walking down the stairs :P i love that things like this are so accessible to us now days!

it's hitting the end of winter now and tomorrow is meant to be 26 degrees (WTF? why so warm D:) soon it will be shorts and bikini weather and i'm determined to have a rocking bod. i need to focus on my eating habits coz i just had a post-workout cookie (whoops!) i want to eliminate mcdonalds from my diet and it's been a huge struggle for me because i usually eat it because i'm too lazy to choose something proper to eat! anyone else struggling to kick the bad habits? got any tips or tricks for toning up?

pretty excited/nervous for tomorrow!!! i only have to work 4 hours (win!) and its an open shift(double win!) and then i have to come home and finish my captain america outfit. since i'm making it off the top of my head i'm worried i'm going to screw it up D: wish me luck!

So i'm a little obsessed with nail art. i've only done these ones so far, but i have a lot of ideas in my head!! my fav is by far the skulls. it's all been hand drawn. using the brushes that come with the nail polish and bobby pins for the dots :) i just purchased 3 tiny nail brushes so hopefully i can get more detail and precision. if you want to see more of my nail art follow me on instagram @s4rrie
