just what i needed

hellooo worldddd this is meeeeee. sorry. saying hello world reminds me of the saddle club... ANYWAY this was yesterdays outfit. i thought i'd tryout fishnets for the first time and all i can say is WHY HAVEN'T I OWNED THESE BEFORE?!?! they're so great at adding texture to an outfit! i even wore them again today! i bought them from paddy's markets (as well as the stud cuff) its my new fav place for accessories (i also got my fake chanel bag from there ;))

i'm also rocking my new docs in this pic. i'm unable to wear them out just yet because the toes are too tight :( i need to try and stretch them and then break them in. i wish they were more consistent with their sizing :( oh well. my fault for not checking out the shoe reviews like i normally do! i've been told to stuff them with wet news paper. anyone tried this and have it work?

also on other news im thinking of quitting my job and starting up a market stall/working part time. im so unhappy where i work and i'd rather spend my days slaving away with crafty diy projects ;) i'll do an instagram post soon and show you all what items i want to sell at my stall ^_^ also stay tuned for a new thrift haul blog! :D

Where the wild things are.

So this was the first decent picture i took of my new lilac hair ;) i'm in love with it! Only problem in it's a bitch to upkeep coz i have to dye it every week >.< also i apologise for the grainy-ness of these pics. the lighting wasn't on my side that day :(

Anyway i'm absolutely in loveeeee with pastels and the whole 'romantic' look of skirts and headbands. it's like everyday is a glorious wonderland tea-party!!! to achieve this look you only really need some basics like skirts and flowy, button down tops then you can accessorise with flowers and pastels.

If you're thinking of joining in on the pastel hair brigade just remember a few things:
to get my hair light enough i had to bleach it TWICE! using the strongest available bleach. it will burn the crap out of you skull so make sure you get it done by a PROFESSIONAL! also because the ends of my hair were previously bleached(twice) they turned to straw and i had to lop it all off. hence why my hair is so short :P my hair use to sit just above the pocket of that shirt! so just be weary! also if you dye your hair frequently with dark colours don't bother trying for pastel hair. the dark hair dye will stain your hair and you will not be able to bleach it light enough. your hair will turn orange and it wont stick. trust me this happened to my friend and sister. its best to try on your natural hair colour so try to grow it out first :)

Ps. The jumper is from cotton on. it wasn't featured in my lookbook post :)

This is an outfit i wore a while back to go clubbing ;) i don't go clubbing often, especially in winter coz i'm a big nanna that goes to bed at midnight :P but i paid a crap load for my blackmilk suspender tights so i want to get some wear out of them. i find them a little too risqué for day time wear. doesn't help that when i wore them out some guys yelled from their car and said 'keep that shit at home, bitch!' bitches be jealous ;) ps. this was the 2nd time i got to wear my spiked litas!!! they're too perfect and beautiful! i wish i had more chances to wear them!

grunge

So grunge is coming back into style and I'm in love!! i bought some black T.U.K swede creepers and they are by far my favourite shoe!! they literally go with EVERYTHING! so if you're contemplating getting a pair DO ITTTTTTT!!! you wont regret it! mine were $85 from amazon, including shipping. you could probably shop around and get them cheaper.

My grunge staples:
slouch beanies
over sized button up shirts
denim
CREEPERSSSS
round sunnies
loads of crosses

just a reminder these are the pieces i like to rock when i'm trying to make a grunge themed outfit. whatever you classify grunge as is up to you :)

So if you didn't already know i want to become a stylist. i thought it would be a great idea to apply for a  personal shopper position as i already do plenty of one-on-one customer service in my current job. there was one going for the topshop that will be opening in Sydney in october, they asked for a topshop inspired outfit and this is what i came up with! :) unfortunately i didn't get the job (obviously haha)

this outfit shows pretty much all my obsessions! denim, docs, red lippy and blackmilk ;)

another love of mine, the blackmilk rib swim! it costs $90 but it was well worth it! not only does it look smoking and photograph well, but its also a bathing suit! unfortunately i got it after beach season so i haven't tested it in the water yet but i'm keen to try it out! it also looks super cute with denim cut offs or high waisted pants. i want to try rocking it with my new DISCO PANTSSSSS!!! i finally caved and paid full price for them! hoping to take pictures on the weekend!

This is by far one of my favourite looks! i adore my american apparel leotard! only problem is i don't feel too comfortable wearing it during the day. the first time i wore it was when i bought it in hawaii and i just teamed it with some black denim cut-offs and some guy walked past me and seedily said 'aaalohaaaaa' so i haven't really worn it out during the day :P at least when i rock this baby at night i'm trying to be sexy so all the male attention is self provoked ;)

when i first bought this i think i was a bit scared that it was too revealing. i use to be a really conservative dresser (still am a little) but now that i've become more self assured in my style i can see that its so chic and classically beautiful. i wear it to feel sexy and i feel that it achieves that but also still looks classy. especially when i team it with my maxi skirt ;)

what do you guys think? is it sexy AND classy?
