3 Ways to get yourself ready for spring!

HELLO INTERNET!

Apologies for being absent for so long! I've been dying of multiple plagues! Since spring has hit Sydney like a hot and sweaty brick wall, I've decided to make a list of awesome things to get you feeling fresh and motivated in time for summer and to give yourself a much needed confidence boost!

1. Spring clean/rearranging

What my room use to look like!

Since i've moved into my dads place my room has tripled in size! Not only did i upgrade to a double bed (teenage dream!) I've actually now got enough room and furniture to move about my things however I please! I like to change the position of my bed a lot to bring a new perspective to my space, this time i'm thinking of movie ALL THE THINGS!

The only problem being, my room looks like a trash heap! so to get it ready for the big change i'm going to have to do the dreaded wardrobe cleanse. usually at the change of season i'll go through and chuck out all the clothes that i didn't wear that past season, even though its time consuming and annoying, spring cleaning your room gives you a sense of accomplishment (plus, now you have room for all this seasons outfits!)

2. Learning a new skill

Right now i'm obsessed with baking adorable edible things! Me and my Sister have been slaving away making yummy treats to give to our friends and I think you should do the same!!
Here's one of my favourite videos for hamburger cupcakes by Nerdy Nummies

I am also loving tutorials from Yoyomax12 and Kawaiisweetworld!

Here's some things i've baked!

My first attempt at cake pops! Mario and Luigi hats!

Watermelon cookies from Kawaiisweetworld!

Baking not your thing? Try some fun DIY, nail art or make-up tutorials! There's nothing you can't learn from Youtube!

3. Buy a new wardrobe!

Let's be honest! New clothes make everything better! So after you've done your huge wardrobe clean out (and maybe sold all the clothes on eBay!) You deserve a bit of a shopping spree! To lower the chances of buyers remorse write yourself a shopping list, do some research into what look you're going for and research some key basics for that style (got no clue? Feel free to ask me here) then do a little online recon for stores in your area.

Broke ass student like me? Take those clothes from the throw away pile and make something of them! I'm currently turning an old denim jacket into a vest and I like to bleach and fray all my old jeans into shorts! the beauty of up-cycling your clothes is that you can't go wrong, if you ruin it you can just throw it away like you originally intended. Check out Vintageboatpeople for some awesome Clothes tutorials!

Let the creative juices flow! You'll be feeling happy and inspired in no time!! Link me to any projects you try! I'd love to see some before and after bedroom shots as well!

Until next time x.
